Workshop: Materials and Methods for Surface Cleaning and Removal of Film-Forming Materials, by Paolo Cremonesi
The KIK-IRPA (Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage, Brussels) and the BRK-APROA (Belgian Professional Association of Conservator-restorers of Art Objects) invite Paolo Cremonesi for a three-day intensive workshop aimed towards conservator-restorers and conservation scientists.
The purpose of this workshop is to acquaint participants with the formulation of preparations for surface cleaning and removal of film-forming materials.
Duration: Three full days from Tuesday 20 to Thursday 22 May 2014
Starting time: 9:30 am
Location: Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage (KIK-IRPA), Jubelpark 1, 1000 Brussels, Belgium.
Language: The language of instruction will be English
Number of participants:
- Day 1 (lectures): maximum 95
- Day 2-3 (practical applications): maximum 20
Registration fee (coffee, tea and sandwiches included):
1 day Lectures € 65 (student: € 50)
3 days Lectures + Practical applications € 300, including all materials
Target group: conservator-restorers and conservation scientists
Application requirements: basic notions of chemistry are recommended.
Priority will be given to employees of the KIK-IRPA and members of the BRK-APROA.
